Core Reg Change BA
A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire a Change Business Analyst - ideally with experience around Regulatory Change and Impact Assessments.
- £550 - £650 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
- The role is an initial 6 month contract (significant scope to roll)
- Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
- Based in London
Regulatory Change Business Analyst
- Experience of 7-10 years
- Impact Assessments for Reg - understanding what articles and requirements are needed. Current state assessment, documentation, gap analysis and work with stakeholders.
- Operational Readiness experience would be very beneficial
- Putting training plan etc in place would be beneficial
- Broader change experience would also be beneficial, but reg change is desirable.
- Private Banking would be beneficial but Global Markets, or other Banking experience is more important.
- Reg Change is vital
Regulations - MiFID, EMEA, HKMA - More in Transaction Reporting space, but portfolio is constantly changing.
- Looking at the re-writes, next updates.
- Horizon scanning - new change
- Very much change side of regulatory implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake impact assessment and gap analysis to identify systems, functions and processes impacted by the change or new regulatory requirements by working with Product, Risk and Controls, Compliance, Legal, Operations and Technology.
- Gather and document business requirements in conjunction with the relevant stakeholders.
- Review current state operating model and work with front office stakeholders, Operations and controls functions to define and document the future state operating model.
- Develop project artefacts as required, including Gap Analysis, Solution Options Analysis, Current and Target State operating models, Business Requirements Documentation (BRD's), Traceability Matrix, User Stories and process flows.
- Partner with technology to validate test plans and scenarios in the context of any system changes.
- Develop process flows and associated procedures with required controls as well as communication plans to support roll-out of the change.
- Work with the Programme and Project Mangers to execute transition plans, focusing on operational readiness for product management, contract management, internal communications and training, external client communications and system readiness.
- Ensure appropriate governance:
- Prepare and present to senior management as required
- Actively identify and manage resolution of key project risks and issues, or escalate accordingly
Knowledge/Experience:
- Prior experience in Wealth Management or Private Banking preferred
- Experience and comfortable working in large multi-national financial institutions, especially when required to liaise with multiple global stakeholders to obtain a consensus
- Business Analysis skills (collecting & defining requirements) working in delivering mid to large scale implementations working with Front Office, Control Functions and Infrastructure partners
- Consultancy experience, particularly with a Big Four, firm is desired
- Strong Excel/Data skills would be advantageous

- Excellent PowerPoint skills in order to represent salient points succinctly
- Good presentation abilities, especially when presenting to Senior Management
- Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge of Private Bank
- Ability to work onsite in the Canary Wharf office for a minimum of three days a week (note that exceptions to this policy are not granted)
