Markets Project Manager / CARAM Remediation
A Leading Financial Services business are looking to hire an experienced Project Manager, with specific knowledge around Regulatory Control Remediation.
- £700 - £815 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella or PAYE only)
- The role is an initial 12 month contract with scope to roll into a couple of years
- The role is a Hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home)
- Based in London, Canary Wharf
Key things to note
- CARAM Remediation - Regulatory control remediation
- Tier 1 regulations - 1 was assessed last year, missing or needing enhanced controls.
- Long list of issues which need to be remediated; biggest is MiFID/MiFIR
- This PM will get into the detail to drive remediation
- Need to be a hybrid ideally in terms of background and experience
- Lot of coordination and keep track of moving parts
- Helpful to have MiFID/MiFIR background; Secondly Risk and Control
- Being able to work independently
- Knowledge of Markets and Products needed too - various product types
Profile Summary
- Strong & proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions are essential
- Has experience in implementing regulatory change across Markets
- Significant experience in scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives
- Excellent oral and written communications skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the judgement and authority to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk & Control Managers, Product Owners, Front Office and Technology teams
- Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risk and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
- Produce accurate and insightful project update materials and artifacts, tailoring to various forums and committees
- Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support the execution of programs
- A solid understanding of mechanisms to track and communicate progress
- Ability to drive change to business practices by working effectively across a global organization and understand different perspectives
- Thought leadership in target state design through engaging stakeholders at various levels of the organization
- Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem solving capability
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and MS Powerpoint
Other Beneficial Skills
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience
- MiFIR/MiFID experience
- Experience in managing Risk and Control related projects
- Relevant Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
- Project Management certifications e.g. PMP or equivalent a strong plus
